In late January I made a goal to exercise for 10,000 minutes in 2018.
This was not a New Year’s Resolution or a diet plan. I just need to develop self-discipline and I thought this may help me stay motivated.
One morning, while I was working out on that blessed Elliptical, I saw a mental image of many various figures of Jesus roaming the earth. The bodies He was in were each different and translucent enough that I could see HIM deep within them. But the physical bodies looked just like you and me.
You see, within my body lives not only MY spirit but the Holy Spirit. And since God has my days ordered, I’d like to be around and PRESENT for all of them.
It has been said that we are an outlet for God’s dreams. He has a purpose and a plan for each of us. He knows precisely how many days He has numbered for us. This means I must honor and love, yes, love this vessel that Jesus resides in.
If I am going to live my life out loud then it must reflect the One residing within me.
So here I sit, raising my coffee mug to the remaining 8,528 minutes in 2018. With these minutes I am committing to dig deep and discover more about the One living in me.
